  • Georgia impressive in win over LSU
    LSU Dumped by DawgsIt was one of those games that leaves you shaking your head. Or maybe uttering words like Mark Richt’s first two at his post-game news conference: “Goodness gracious.”

    Georgia beat LSU here Saturday, and while the outcome wasn’t necessarily shocking, the score and many other details boggled the mind.

    Start with the score: 52-38. That means the Bulldogs scored more points against the defending national champion than they had scored in any other SEC game this season — and more, in fact, than they scored against Georgia Southern.



  • Cedric Ellis to Play in London

    Finally some good news from the New Orleans Saints.   Defensive Tackle Cedric Ellis will play in London against the San Diego Chargers.  Coming off a big loss to the Panthers who ran all over a sick Saints Defense, this is the best news the Saints have heard all week long after reports of 2 key players failed drug test earlier this week.



  • McCallister, Smith Fail Drug Test, subject to suspension

    There has been a "rash of positive tests under the steroid policy as a result of players taking water pills to lose weight," FOX 31 in Denver reported on its Web site, citing a highly-placed NFL source. 

    Saints running back Deuce McAllister and defensive end Will Smith were among the positive tests,



  • Old Orleans Inspiration for New Orleans

    The 2008 New Orleans Saints are traveling to Europe with the same record as they started with in 2007 (3-4).  The difference is that last year’s team had to dig themselves out of a disastrous 0-4 hole to star the season.  But the 2008 Saints, while not looking for excuses, have been absolutely body slammed with injuries that could fill a M.A.S.H. unit with ease.
